Actigence is a focused practice. Founded in 2023 by Laurent Lhoir after 15 years in pharma and biotech operations at Altran, Johnson & Johnson and UCB.
Laurent Lhoir.
Mechanical engineer by training (Ecole Polytechnique de Louvain, 2008). Moved into pharma operations on day one.
Fifteen years inside global groups. Every role across the project delivery spectrum: project engineer, project manager, head of PMO, director of engineering, global director of physical asset management. Each of those functions set up or restructured from the inside, in organizations of different sizes.
The path through projects led to transformation programs. Founded Actigence in January 2023 to partner with C-suites the way he wished external partners had worked when he sat on the client side. Full cycle. On site. Accountable for outcomes, not deliverables.

Solo practice. Current client: LFB Biomédicaments, Site d'Arras. Four roles on site in sequence since February 2023: Head of Engineering, Head of PMO, Head of Fill & Finish Operations, Transformation Lead.
UCB. Global Director, Physical Asset Management & Project Delivery.
Global Engineering & Facilities. Joined as Director, Technical Engineering (Expertise and Project Management), covering Pharma DP, Pharma DS, Biologics, Packaging, Labs and Facilities. Led the transformation of the department into Global Engineering & Facilities 2.0. Built a dedicated Physical Asset Management function from the ground up and ran it alongside Project Delivery. 150+ FTE. 10 direct reports at (associate) director level.
Johnson & Johnson. Senior Manager, Engineering, PMO & CAPEX Portfolio.
Eight years on site. Four as consultant through Altran, four as internal hire. Joined as project engineer. Moved up through project management, then set up and led the site PMO. Progressed to Senior Manager, Engineering, PMO & CAPEX Portfolio. Site portfolio of 150+ projects and 30M$+ CAPEX per year. Delivered Invega Sustenna, Invega Trinza and the Velcade business continuity plan. On site for the JJOS (J&J Operating System) deployment, the group-wide transformation program.
Altran. Lead Consultant.
Pharma and biotech rotations: GSK Vaccines, Pfizer Puurs, Delpharm, Catalent, TRIZ Innovation, Johnson & Johnson. Tech transfer, aseptic production, maintenance and reliability.
We run an AI-empowered stack in the background. Custom agents for diagnostic data work, document analysis, reporting, and admin. That is how a focused practice keeps pace with programs that used to need a team of three.
